Travel To Bali
Explore the beautiful city of Ubud
Bali is an Indonesian island known for its beautiful forests, the beautiful beaches and the Monkey forest. It has a population of 4 million people. Since 1980, has become a very popular destination and tourists from all over the world travel there to enjoy the tropical climate, the yoga and the meditation retreats offered by the various thermal springs of the island. Tourism-related business makes up 80% of its economy. It is renowned for its highly developed arts, including traditional and modern dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking, and music.
One of the most endearing things about Bali is the overwhelming hospitality of its people. People are willing to help you, give you directions, and even get you to your destination. Below we will see the things that we need to know about Bali so we could organize the best trip ever.
Where to go
Ubud: The city you should see in Bali
At Ubud you will find Bali’s culture condensed. While you walking around the city you will discover good restaurants, cafes, shops, and many sculptures, which you will find from excellent artists around the area. Ubud, due to the variety of choices it offers, has many choices in hotels, tailored to the economic needs of each visitor.
The Ubud is an Indonesian city of Bali with a population of about 30,000 inhabitants. It is surrounded by ravines and rice fields. The main street of the city is Jalan Raya
Ubud. I took my flight from Europe and the estimated time is almost 16 hours. I travel in such comfort and despite the hours I had a great flight. Great food, comfortable seats and excellent staff. I booked my tickets from QATAR AIRWAYS.

Points Of Interests
There are many interesting things to see and visit in Ubud. One of these is the Monkey forest with the excellent midwives who during the day make their appearance on the road as well. You can also see the Ubud’s central market, which is excellent and has everything you can imagine. Something else to be seen in the city, is the Ubud’s Palace. The palace was built in 1800 during the reign of Ida Putu Kandel. It is the house of the royal family of Ubud, but it also functions as one of the main points for traditional balinese representations. Lastly but not least, you must see the so-called paddy rice fields, known as Tegalalang Rice Terrace.
What To Eat
I suggest you to eat something classic. I believe that you should try plates as Nasi Goreng, Gado- Gado and Ikan bakar. Nasi Goreng is one of the most loved plates in Indonesia and it has been voted as the second nicest and tastier food in the world from CNN polls. If you try Nasi you will eat fried rice with garlic, tamarind, chili and sweet soy sauce. This particular food can be met with many variations.
Where To Eat
The place is filled with places and restaurants where you can eat. You can even meet pizzerias if you are a worshiper of the Italian Cuisine. But there are 3 restaurants that stand out among others. The Bebek Teba Seri Restaurant with excellent cuisine, the D’ Warung with amazing dishes and the Kamani Restaurant that is located inside the Champlung Sari Hotel. I suggest you to visit them if you want to have one of the best dinners of your life.
What To Buy
When you go shopping on Bali do not jump into the trap. Whichever price they say will be misleading and surely higher, since vendors are waiting for your bargains. Ask them to make you a particular price and if they say no, go away. Statically, they will not refuse.
Frequent handwashing, since hygiene conditions on such places are usually not good. Avoid the water from drizzle and drink only bottled. Avoid raw salads from shops that you have not seen their kitchen and choose to eat fried or baked food.
If you want to move by taxi you should be especially careful. You should prefer a taxi with air conditioning and ask the driver to open the taximeter, as many leave it in vain, closed. The best option is ”Uber”. It would be ideal to rent a motorbike in order to avoid city traffic, to see more details of the city and to spend less money on fuels.
You should have enough money with you because the banks were holding a great deal of money and they did not let you to do big money withdrawal. You should do a good research before you change your money to rupees.
Where To Stay
The best choice is Champlung Sari Hotel. It has excellent and affordable rooms, spa, beautiful outdoor spaces and is very close to the Monkey Forest. An average room costs about 50 USD per night.
The sea on Bali is ideal for water sports. You can do surf or diving. Also you can do modern sports like kite, rafting, mountain bike and free climbing.
