So, last night i watched a movie that came up at the cinema during December. It is a pretty popular movie and you might have already seen it. Although i want to make a small review because i loved it. I am talking about Collateral Beauty.
Trully i am not the man who gets astonished or emotional from a movie but i have to say that it gave so many emotions and feelings that i have a long time to feel.To give you a hint, the movie is about a man(Will Smith) who is in love with his work and his family and mostly he is great to both of them. Despite his personal success, his life starting to fall apart when his kid dies. He neglects his work and he is now a depressive man who has nothing to live about. So he is starting to write letters, not to a person but letters to love, time and death while at the same time he fells in love with a unique woman. And his life make a different turn now. He is manage to see the bright side again and moving forward, always with the thought of his beloved daughter in his mind.
I don’t want to add anything more to my description because i don’t wanna spoil it for you. It is about a romantic drama as you guess, with a great cast(Will Smith, Kate Winslet, KeiraKnightley, Helen Mirren, Edward Norton) that will make you relax and get emotionally stessed at the same time.
It is true that the movie is standing in many cliches and tries to make us beleive that insights grief can be beautiful and poetic.
In my opinion it is a worth seing movie which is ideal for a relaxing afternoon. It doesn’t make you think, it doesn’t brings you questions but it will give you a great one and a half hour.
